I like to know exactly what we are putting on and in our bodies. So I am a big label reader. After walking many aisles for simple over the counter stuff and not being able to identify let alone say what the ingredients are, we now make a majority of our items.
The winter months bring lots of threats, and sometimes our bodies need a little extra support to be optimal.
Instead of putting synthetics on our bodies I am able to whip one up something to help us in a few minutes, in my very own kitchen, wearing my slippers.
1 Tablespoon Shea Butter
4 tablespoons Coconut Oil (the kind you cook with).
25 drops Peppermint
15 drops Eucalyptus
8 drops Rosemary
In a double broiler or glass jar add Shea butter and coconut oil. If using a glass jar set the glass in a sauce pan of boiling water. Be sure to avoid getting water into the glass jar. Stir well until melted. Remove from heat.
Once the mixture has cooled but is not solid yet add the essential oils. Stir well (a Popsicle stick works great). And put in jar(s) to use. Glass baby food jars work too.
Apply to chest and back. Optional -cover with a warm towel.
May also apply to bottom of feet.
