Start Where YOU Are. It is so easy to compare ourselves to others. Never feeling like we measure up, always needing validation for the everyday thing we do. It’s becoming natural in the world of social media.

Everyday we strive to be the best in everything, or at least appearing that way. Perfection is not my reality, and I am 100% okay with that. If everyone thinks I am perfect then my flaws only seem that much bigger.

Start Where You Are

Last week included a couple incredibly frustrating moments. Feelings of inadequacy, unworthiness, weariness, and thoughts of “what am I doing in life?” I totally unloaded on a friend (or two) and at the end of the conversation the realization that only I can fix these things, the problems within myself, was like a flashing bulb in my face. And the best place to start is right where I am right now. Not where I want to be, or Susie down the street is.

Becoming a better version of me starts with where I am right now. And starting is the first step in the right direction.

This book is filled of beautiful illustrations, self reflecting questions (without all the psycho babble that puts me to sleep), focusing on the positive, seeing the beauty and realizing all of the blessings in my life. Big, small and everywhere in between.
