Happy Love Month!

Not only is Ylang Ylang for loving feelings, it is wonderful for the physical heart.  But lets touch on the loving feelings.  It is February after all!!  Essential oils can benefit so many areas of our lives, so why stop at the bedroom.  I don’t know about you but I like to know what I am putting on my body.  Our skin is our biggest organ, so what we put on it is just as important as what we put in it.

Who doesn’t like a massage?  Making your own massage oil is easy.  Melt some coconut oil, add some oils to stir up feelings of love and lust, and create an atmosphere to have some fun.

It is so easy to get caught up in the busyness of life and stuff.  Put away the distractions and be present in the moment.  Ylang Ylang can help you do just that.

Working in Labor and Delivery I know how busy Novembers tend to be, because nine months before the Love month was here.  Ylang Ylang is usually associated with being a female oil but it can also be beneficial to men who struggle with a low libido.

When some people think of Ylang Ylang they think aphrodisiac.  But Ylang Ylang is also calming, and soothing to emotions, beneficial to skin, tummy troubles, hormonal struggles, anxious feelings, and also supports a healthy heart.

Ylang Ylang essential oil is derived from the star-shaped flowers of the tropical Ylang Ylang tree.  The aroma is sweet and floral.

How to use Ylang Ylang:

Topically

Apply a drop to the bottom of feet, pulse points, or back of neck.  Personally I apply it to the back of my neck when I am worked up.

1-2 drops mixed with coconut oil and use in massage.

For skin issues apply to area of concern, or tummy troubles apply to abdomen.  Diluting with coconut oil helps to spread the oil over a larger surface area.

Aromatically

Inhaled directly from hands after applying topically, or even smell directly from the bottle.

Diffuser.  3-4 drops in diffuser.  Or diffuser recipe of choice. It blends well with Sandalwood, Bergamot, and Frankincense.

Internally

It can be taken internally to support skin, and help with tummy troubles.  1 drop in a capsule.

So go ahead, get your hands on some Ylang Ylang and enjoy the Love month!

Have a Happy Day!
